Urban Movement belongs to a global community. We serve as one of the many movement schools around the world.
This weekend, leaders from the community will come together in New York City for The Art of Retreat. Here, they will share ideas of how to keep teaching movement with excellence. Urban Movement has taken part in The Art of Retreat before: we have sponsored it, and our owner Cameron Pratto has taught workshops at it. This year, Dr. Ricky of our management team will give a talk on Adaptive Movement.
Do you want to know what else goes on at The Art of Retreat? Would you like to go, in the future? Then, you should read more about it on its website. Check it out here.
The Art of Retreat comes mostly from the leadership of Caitlin Pontrella. Caitlin lives in New York City, where she works for the city's Parks Department and runs her company, Studio Made For. She's also co-founded The Movement Creative which is another NYC-based company. You should read about about Caitlin and her work here.
