Our approach to training makes movement accessible to everyone. Our primary focus is on creating movement situations for students to adapt to. From stick and ball games to crawling and rolling on the floor. From balancing on wood planks low to the ground to lifting weights in challenging positions. From being shown how to perform repetitions of an exercise to being asked to be creative. Through success, and often times even more through failure, we learn how to be better humans.
We’re not a “normal” gym. We mostly teach people how to move like we did before there were gyms. We're constantly developing and experimenting. Our toolset is ever-expanding. It is our passion to share the process. It's common for us to draw from multiple methods and modalities like Art Du Deplacement (Parkour & Freerunning), Natural Movement, Ido Portal, Fighting Monkey, Animal Flow, Gymnastics, Yoga, Martial Arts, Dance, Acrobatics and more.

Don't take it from us! Listen to what students and parents have to say.
Urban Movement has been the best investment I’ve made in my son’s life thus far! They have impacted him in such a way that I now have an amazingly confident and self-aware 14-year-old. We didn’t just get a gym, trainer, or a coach...we got a family!
Urban Movement provides students with the fitness and skills to safely and joyfully navigate the physical and mental obstacles of life.
My 7-year-old son loved the camp and is excited to return to the next camp and classes. Many parents I talk to say their boys are attracted to alternative sports platforms that include mindfulness vs. traditional team sports.
My wife and I have been coming to Urban Movement for more than a year now and classes are great! A wonderful workout and fun and engaging instructors. I can’t recommend this more.
Right away I was impressed by the respectful, collaborative nature of the classes. They are truly working together for improvement. My son likes that they are not really competing with each other but are always encouraged to raise the bar on their own development.
